Fail Safe (2011)

Type :   Production countries :

Michael confronts Anson once more and incapacitates him. This provided Fiona, who was located in building next to where the confrontation took place, to shoot Anson with a sniper rifle. However at the very last second, Michael pulls Anson away from the line of fire. Sam and Fiona proceeded to track down one of Anson's partners and successfully incapacitate him. Sam and Fiona promise not to hurt the man any further on the condition that he testifies against Anson and joins witness protection. Anson's former partner reluctantly agrees but realizes that the building they are in is rigged to blow and attempts to disable the bomb. Sam and Fiona distance themselves from the building as he "successfully" shut down and mocks Fiona and Sam while standing next to the now "defunct" bomb, when suddenly the bomb reactivated and he is consumed by the flames, instantly killing him in front of an agitated Sam and Fiona.
Meanwhile, the CIA allows Michael to run an operation with an authorized team, Anson takes the opportunity to force Michael to burn the team and Pearce to provide a front line of operatives for his new organization. While Fiona is not willing to accept her freedom over theirs, Michael is adamant that the situation can be redeemed without compromising Fiona. When Anson's mole on the team is uncovered by Michael, he quickly improvises a plan to extract their target and instructs Jesse to remove the framing evidence. When Michael returns home from the mission, however, he discovers Fiona has decided to turn herself in and remove Anson's leverage over Michael. As Michael is driving to the Federal Building to stop Fiona, Anson calls him. Michael tells Anson that he will, "see him in hell." Anson is then shown entering a car with the mole that attempted to sabotage the mission, who proceeds to drive to an unknown location. Michael arrives at the Federal Building right before Fiona reached the entrance of the building. Michael screamed out for Fiona's attention and she turns back and looks at Michael with an upset look on her face, before moving forward and reaching the entrance. A man walks up to Fiona and arrests her. Several policemen surround Fiona and they enter the government building. The note Fiona left Michael before her arrest is narrated by Fiona as the arrest takes place and the episode ends once the note is completely read, Michael is shown staring at the government building in heart break as cars drive in front of him.
