Disney Channel Middle East is an edition of the The Walt Disney Company-owned Disney Channel broadcasting to the Middle East, North Africa as well as Pakistan and Maldives with exceptions of Iraq, Libya, and Syria. It is advertising-free and funded by subscription fees.

  Biography  

Disney Channel Middle East was launched on April 15, 1997 and was back then exclusively available on the Orbit Network. In Fall 2001, it became available on Showtime Arabia.

Disney Channel Middle East was only available in the English when launched. On April 1, 1998, the Orbit Network launched the Arabic service on Disney Channel. Then, on April 16, 2007, the Orbit Network launched the Swedish service on Disney Channel.
Now, Disney Channel is an encrypted channel available on Orbit Showtime in English, Arabic, and Swedish.

Disney channel Middle East aired all Disney Channel shows but most of them are out of the air.
